Those were the days..

It started out with us having lunch break during a lazy thurs afternoon, and the thought of twinkle sweet came to my mind again. So, I popped the question..

Me: Do you guys remember a sweet that has a fairy on it? And it comes in silver and pink packaging..

PQ: YaYa! Its called Twinkle sweets or Tinkle..

Me: OMG. I've been looking for the sweets but to no avail.

Spencer: There is this very old shophouse few lorongs down which sells biscuits and sweets at wholesale prices.. Maybe we can go and have a look...

And in the end, we bought quite a no of old time goodies.. But didn't manage to find twinkle sweets. The owner said it either stop distribution already or maybe supermarkets have.

:(

So we bought the balloon to play.. Haha.. It used to be sold 10cents per stick or 50cents for the bigger tube.
:)

And saw stuff like, Dingdang choco balls( the purple box which they used to have a toy inside), Toro smth( same as Dingdang but its a white box with a robot at the front), old sch sweets like sarsi all tt (which used to be sold 3 for 1ocents), asst biscuits which you used to eat when you're young..

WOAH.
All the memories are coming back..

• When we're still having PETS coursebook in pri sch..
• Played zero point, hopscotch, block catching, hide and seek, freeze and melt, crocodile and picking saga seeds, etc... before or after school..
• Food used to cost only 50cents for a bowl of laksa, cha siew rice, etc and only 10cents for a cup of drink or 20cents for a bigger cup...
• When we used to use farecard instead of Ez-link..
• There is chocolate and strawberry milk in pri sch?
• Sharity elephant.. A popular mascot during children's day..
• Ring pop and Pushpop was the IN thing..
• Worksheets and all are in recycled yellow paper, not the plain white ones..
• Used to say, " I don't friend you liao" or " I tell my mother, father etc.."
• We used to draw on chalkboards on teacher's day and have to reach school damn early if you're in the morning class to give your teacher the surprise.
• Used to steal white chalks and "whiten" your shoes instead of shoe whitener..
• Autograph books were passed around every year for friends to fill their profiles and poems..

and loads more which I couldn't think of right now...

Right now, I missed all my pri sch friends, my sec sch friends and ITE friends.. and my sisters, my brothers...

Cherish what you've now and not regret when you lose them in the future..
^^

Anyone has any idea where can i still get Twinkle sweets? or the lemon sweet that comes in a black box with a lemon at the front ( its inner packaging is smth like medicine type which you'll have to pop it out) ?

Have a good weekend everyone and HAPPY TEACHER's DAY!!
